  • Wedding Weight Loss Guide

Losing weight before a wedding is a common goal, but just because you have a strong motivator doesn’t mean it will always be quick or easy. When trying to lose weight for a wedding, it helps to have a few simple steps to keep in mind.

The first step of tackling pre-wedding weight loss should be creating a plan and setting reasonable goals - keep in mind how much time you have before the big day and don’t try to cram in a very short period of intense weight loss. Most methods that offer large amounts of weight loss in a short time are unlikely to work, or may cause more damage in the long run. It is smarter to have a healthy plan that you can stick to for a longer period of time.

Monitoring your diet is a large part of losing weight, but it is also important that you don’t starve yourself or skip meals just to limit your calorie intake. Calories are not the only factor when it comes to losing weight, and getting proper nutrition is needed for your body to function properly and actually burn through fat optimally. Don’t starve yourself, just stick to a healthy diet that cuts out junk foods and unnecessary fats and carbs.

Planning out the wedding can be stressful and time-consuming, but if you intend to lose weight then you also can’t let it prevent you from exercising regularly. Figure out an exercise routine that works for you, which includes a healthy amount of cardio, and make sure that you stick to it. Plan out when you can work out, and for how long, and stick to this plan strictly.
